For years the only biopics we were getting were of musicians, actors, or business men....Yawn! But now it looks like we will get something different, a comedian!
Reports have surfaced that Lee Daniels, director of Lee Daniels' The Butler, is working on a Richard Pryor Biopic with Mike Epps set to star as the legendary comedian Richard Pryor. Mike Epps (Next Friday, Sparkle, How High) beat out other famous comedians such as Eddie Murphy, Marlon Wayans, and Nick Cannon for the role.
Having a biopic of a comedian could be something fresh for us, and with the life Richard Pryor had, it could turn out to be a very good film.
