TweetFive weeks from release, Jupiter Ascending suddenly moves to February 6, 2015!
Visual effects delays have been cited as the major source of this move. It's also been speculated that the film would be facing too much competition in the weeks both preceding and succeeding the films opening weekend.
The film is being distributed by Warner Bros. and since Jupiter Ascending is moving to Feb. 6, 2015, this means a move for another Warner Bros. film; Run All Night.
Run All Night is another action film starring Liam Neeson, in the vein of the Taken Franchise.
It seems 2014 has not been kind to films distributed by Warner Bros. The comedy film, Blended, opened to abysmal reviews and has become another Adam Sandler flop. The action sci-fi thriller, Edge of Tomorrow is getting universal praise, but has FAILED to generate buzz at this point (2 days before its release).
