New 'Powerpuff Girls' Series in 2016

The hit cartoon, Powerpuff Girls will return to Cartoon Network in 2016!

For a decade now, Cartoon Network has made a HIGH number of unpopular decisions regarding it's original programming. It cannibalized it's own blocks of phenomenal shows with cheap gimmicks and Adult Swim. 

That being said, this may be a small win for those who grew up with the DIAMOND AGE OF CARTOONS. 

Early in 2014, Cartoon Network aired a 10th anniversary special called Powerpuff Girls: Dance Pantsed and this may have helped spark the shows return, albeit, in the newer CGI medium. 

Rob Sorcher, Chief Content Officer of Cartoon Network, claims the return is "based upon an overwhelming demand for sugar, spice and Chemical X."

RANT TIME: First off, he forgot 'everything nice.' Next, that's poppycock, because there are VERY MANY shows that the network has let go that spawned an outcry (every Genndy Tartakovsky series to name a few).

While this is good news, it seems Cartoon Network has the same problem as DC films; there is a 2-year wait.
